The New England Patriots are continuing to add to the roster.

According to the Boston Herald's Doug Kyed, the Patriots plan to sign linebacker Carson Wells.

Wells began his NFL career with the Cincinnati Bengals as an undrafted free agent last year, but was cut and did not make the final roster.

The linebacker then went over to the XFL, playing for the St. Louis Battlehawks. He finished the season with 45 tackles and 3.5 sacks across 10 games.

Wells is the latest roster move the Patriots have made, also having signed USFL running back C.J. Marable following a successful workout and versatile USFL offensive tackle Micah Vanterpool. Following those signings, they released linebacker Olakunle Fatukasi and rookie safety Jourdan Heilig

With Wells' signing, the Patriots are expected to make another move in the current days as the roster is currently full.
