The New England Patriots brought in multiple players for workouts on Tuesday, and one clearly made an impression.
The Boston Herald's Doug Kyed reports that signed defensive tackle Trysten Hill to the practice squad.
He was one of five free agents in for workouts, joined by G Bobby Evans (Oklahoma), G Reginald McKenzie (Tennessee), LB Elerson Smith (Northern Iowa), and DE Spencer Waege (North Dakota State), according to ESPN's Mike Reiss.
Hill was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft and has had stints with the Arizona Cardinals and Cleveland Browns. He was released from the Browns practice squad on Sept. 26.
Across his six years in the league, Hill has 35 total tackles and 1.5 sacks in 31 games played.
Hill adds depth to the defensive line after the Patriots placed defensive tackle Daniel Ekuale on injured reserve last week. He joins fellow defensive tackles Jeremiah Pharms Jr. and Manny Jones on the practice squad.
Let's see how he does with the Patriots.
