DeAndre Hopkins looking at offers from Patriots and Titans

The New England Patriots have officially made DeAndre Hopkins an offer.

ESPN's Dianna Russini reports that Hopkins is looking over offers from both the Patriots and the Tennessee Titans.

“His sales job continues trying to get more teams interested at this point because right now, we know that there are only two teams that have had DeAndre Hopkins come to their facility,” Russini said. “I was told by sources close to the situation that Hopkins is going over some of the offers from both of those teams, the Titans and the Patriots. He’s mulling over and trying to come up with a decision with what he wants to do.

However, the his decision isn't expected to be immediate, with Hopkins most likely to wait until until closer to training camp in late July to see if there is a larger need with any other teams.

"This isn't something that is going to go down in the next 24 or 48 hours. It’s going to take some time for DeAndre Hopkins to come up with his final decision of where he wants to play.”

Hopkins visit with the Patriots last Wednesday and Thursday was reportedly very successful, with the receiver even posting a photo on his Instagram story alongside Matthew Judon. Judon has since said that he would "love to have" Hopkins join the Patriots.

The Patriots rank 15th in the NFL with $14,025,985, per a tweet from ESPN’s Field Yates. This would fit within the desired amount Hopkins appears to want, looking for a contract similar to Odell Beckham Jr., who signed with the Baltimore Ravens in April.

There is also a possibility that if Hopkins were to sign with the Patriots, free agent running back Dalvin Cook might not be far behind.

"If we can get up on the same roster and be on the same team, that will be the beauty of the situation," Cook said on the Adam Schefter podcast." If we end up on the same roster, that would be something epic for the NFL."

There remains optimism that a potential deal can get done between the Patriots and Hopkins, but there is still plenty of time before training camp begins, leaving room for other teams to show interest.
