The New England Patriots honored the face of their franchise, Tom Brady, at halftime against the Philadelphia Eagles. Kraft opened by saying some words about Brady's time in New England and what he meant to the franchise before announcing that the Patriots would be waiving the four-year waiting period for him to be inducted into the team's Hall of Fame.
It was a relatively short ceremony, only lasting approximately ten minutes, but Brady will receive a longer ceremony when he is inducted into the Patriots Hall of Fame on June 12, 2024.
As Brady wrapped up the speech, he uttered the words Patriots fans have been waiting to hear for some time:
Tom Brady: "One thing I am sure of, and that will never change, I am a Patriot for life."
Gillette erupting into "Brady, Brady, Brady" rightfully ensued. It was an electric moment for a franchise that has needed an infusion of excitement after the past few seasons.
