Nick Folk's time in New England has come to an end.
The New England Patriots traded the kicker to the Tennessee Titans on Tuesday, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.
Tom Pelissero further reported that the Patriots received a 2025 seventh-round pick in exchange for Folk.
And with that, Chad Ryland is the Patriots new kicker.
Folk has been competing against Ryland during the preseason, with the Patriots 2023 fourth-round selection having clearly proven himself in such a short time.
Folk is entering his 16th season in the NFL, having started his career with the Dallas Cowboys in 2007. After three years with the Cowboys, he moved on to the New York Jets for seven seasons before jumping to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for a year.
In Oct. 2019, Folk signed with the Patriots and has been a staple of the team for the past few seasons.
He has an overall career record of 353-426 field goals, which comes to 82.9 percent. The veteran kicker has made 36 field goals over 50 yards, while also going 458-473 on extra points.
Folk will be joining another former member of the Patriots organization, with Mike Vrabel leading the charge in Nashville.
