Payton Manning has kept busy since he retired from the NFL. And now he's trying to help out Bill Belichick since the former New England Patriots head coach now has a lot of time on his hands.

According to The Athletic's Andrew Marchand, Manning is reportedly "pursuing Bill Belichick in an effort to sign the longtime New England Patriots head coach with Omaha Productions, Manning’s entertainment company."

"Manning hopes to bring Belichick into his company, which has partnerships with many big-name athletes, including David Ortiz, Sue Bird and Manning’s brother, Eli," Marchand wrote. "If Manning were to sign Belichick, the idea of teaming with ESPN to create a Belichick and Nick Saban “Manningcast” is expected to be broached, according to officials briefed on the plans. Saban, considered by many the greatest college football coach of all time, joined ESPN’s “College GameDay” after retiring from Alabama. (ESPN/Omaha could call it the 'GOAT Cast.')"

Belichick gave everyone a glimpse at how good he can be in front of a camera after appearing on College GameDay when Gillette Stadium hosted the annual Army-Navy game.

And he was quite funny, honoring Lee Corso with a funny bit when picking what team he through would win. With a smile on his face, he was very different than what people normally see during press conferences.

And that brought up many conversations about his future, with speculations beginning that he could enter the broadcasting industry.

Marchard added that "Belichick has yet to meet with ESPN, but ESPN is interested in Belichick."

However, they do have some competition for the future Hall of Fame coach's attention.

"Belichick has met with CBS and NBC executives, according to sources with direct knowledge of the get-togethers," Marchand wrote. "CBS and NBC are both considering adding new analysts to their studio shows. The just-retired Jason Kelce is high on both networks’ lists."

As for FOX, which also has Tom Brady joining the ranks alongside Julian Edelman and Rob Gronkowski, Belichick could just make it a full Patriots reunion. Yet it was reported that they are not favorites to land the head coach.

So it seems Manning and Belichick will put the rivalry to the side and possibly team up. Oh, how things have changed.
