The New England Patriots could be one step closer to getting Drake Maye his top wide receiver.

The Athletic's Chad Graff reports that former Buffalo Bills and Houston Texans wide receiver Stefon Diggs is in Foxborough to meet with the Patriots.

Diggs is coming off a season-ending ACL tear eight games into his first season with the Texans. Due to the injury, there is a high chance Diggs won't be ready by training camp and even possibly the start of the season. But, when he is ready to return, it's provides New England with a solid weapon.

This is the first reported visit for Diggs in free agency.

And the Patriots are familiar with his play style as he had spent the previous four seasons with the Bills, earning Pro Bowl honors each year. Since 2018, Diggs has not had one season (excluding last year when he tore his ACL) that was under 1,000 receiving yards.

Across his 10 years in the league, Diggs has a total of 857 receptions for 10,491 receiving yards and 70 receiving touchdowns.

The Patriots also brought in Mack Hollins this offseason, and with Hollins, New England's roster consists of receivers Javon Baker, Kendrick Bourne, Kayshon Boutte, DeMario Douglas, Jalen Hurd, JaQuae Jackson, John Jiles, and Ja'Lynn Polk.
