Russell Wilson's time with the Denver Broncos appears to have officially come to an end. And it seems the quarterback will take his talents elsewhere next season.
With that, the speculation has begun on where he will end up. And one former Patriot voiced his opinion on the matter.
It's no secret that the Patriots are going to be in the quarterback market next season, but right now the assumption is that they will look to draft one. However, James White has a different idea.
The Wilson drama began this past week when Broncos head coach Sean Payton announced that the quarterback was going to be benched for the remaining two games of the season despite Denver still having a chance at making the playoffs.
Now, its former Patriots quarterback Jarrett Stidham who will get the start for the Broncos.
Wilson was traded to the Seattle Seahawks in March 2022 along with a fourth-round pick, in exchange for a two first-round picks, two second-round picks, a fifth-round pick, quarterback Drew Lock, defensive lineman Shelby Harris, and tight end Noah Fant.
Across his 12 years in the league, Wilson has 3,668 completions for 43,653 yards and 334 touchdowns. He also won a Super Bowl with the Seahawks in 2013 and has been named to the Pro Bowler nine times.
It seems White is advocating for his former college teammate with the two having played together at Wisconsin. While this idea seems unlikely, anything can happen.
