Sorry Patriots fans, but Tom Brady's first game as a FOX broadcaster will not be during one of New England's games. Instead, he will be covering America's Team.
It was revealed on Monday that Brady's first game in the booth will be the Dallas Cowboys against the Cleveland Browns.
And the future Hall of Fame quarterback took a moment to react to the news.
"Amazing. Obviously having the Cowboys on is a huge draw," Brady said. "As America's Team, it's going to get a little hard for me to say that all the time, understand they were the competition for a long time, but in this new role, I know the Cowboys, how important they are to this network.
However, it seems Brady isn't completely out of Roast mode yet. He managed to make a little dig at Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott.
“They got great storylines," Brady said with a smile. "Dak Prescott, let’s see if he can finally come through. Did that just slip out?”
However, Micah Parsons and Coach Mike McCarthy did get some nice shoutouts.
"Micah Parsons, what a great player he is, and Coach McCarthy. I love covering them and I've obviously been going against them for a long time, and now I get to tell everyone how great they are," Brady added.
Brady's deal with FOX is a 10-year, $375 million contract to be the lead analyst for the Fox Sports. He will also be joining former teammate Rob Gronkowski and Julian Edelman.
Tom Brady will be a big talking point heading into Cowboys’ season opener
This is bound to be good.
