Despite missing practice on Tuesday, it appears that a key player for the Patriots won't be sidelined for long.
Josh Uche, who is dealing with a foot injury, is not expected to be out long-term, ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports.
Uche left Sunday's Week 6 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders early due to the foot injury.
This would be a major loss for the Patriots who are already down Matthew Judon after the linebacker tore his lower bicep in Week 4 and was placed on injured reserve this past weekend.
Across six games, Uche has recorded six total tackles and two sacks.
He joined the Patriots in 2020, being drafted in the second round. In his four years with New England, Uche has 54 total tackles, 17.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery across 42 games played.
While his contract is up at the end of this year and he is set to become a free agent, no contract discussions have been had yet between the Patriots and Uche according to Fox Sports' Henry McKenna.
Hopefully Uche will be back in no time.
