The Senior Bowl is valued around the entire NFL. For the New Orleans Saints, they consistently take players that are involved in those festivities and perform in the game.

The Most Valuable Player award winner from this year's game could make plenty of sense for New Orleans on day two of the Saints' draft.

Jack Bech

Bech was named the MVP of the game after catching a game-wining touchdown in the final seconds of the game.

Bech is a converted tight end from earlier in his playing career and possesses some of the best contested-catch ability in the entire draft class.

His draft stock certainly rose over the past week. Now, he is in play sometime on day two of the draft, according to plenty of draft analysts.

… Bech took to the field with a vengeance. He was dominant throughout the week, catching everything that came his way, whether the throw being a good one or difficult to catch. Bech has raised his profile quite a bit over the week, potentially a day-two pick. — Tyler Forness

Bech fits the billing of a high-floor receiver with the potential to contribute in the NFL. His combination of size, reliable hands, and route-running prowess should translate well to the pro game, particularly in offenses that emphasize intermediate passing concepts and value chain-moving abilities. Bech's proficiency in finding soft spots in coverage and winning contested catches suggests he could quickly become a reliable target for NFL quarterbacks.

Saints' history with Senior Bowl

New Orleans has selected the Senior Bowl MVP in the draft for two straight years. It is clear that they care about the event and how some players perform. Both of those were quarterbacks, though, in Jake Haener and Spencer Rattler.

We will see if history continues itself in this instance during the 2025 NFL Draft. Bech may be on New Orleans' radar as depth at WR is certainly a need on offense for the Saints.
