The New Orleans Saints got a much needed victory yesterday against the Cleveland Browns.
After the game, there was plenty of cheer for the holidays. The Saints were very excited to escape the coldest game in team history with a win.
Alvin Kamara was his honest, comical self in his postgame press conference.
He discussed rookie Trevor Penning during his time as well, and it was priceless.
He described the Saints' rookie offensive lineman as a "nasty baby."
Kamara also mentioned that Penning was embracing the suck.
Basically, Penning isn't letting the team's struggles at times this year get him down.
The feisty rookie offensive lineman is keeping his head high and focusing on improvement and development.
That's a great sign for the Saints. They expect Penning to be one of their offensive tackles of the future. He has some steps to make, but clearly, their star running back has faith in him.
Injuries have thrusted Penning into more snaps as of late. He was injured for much of the season, but they've taken it slow with him since his return.
Most of his reps come in jumbo packages, but he's shown solid flashes when put into the game by the Saints.
Penning will probably be blocking for Kamara for years to come. Their connection is strong early on. Great news for the Saints and their fans.
