The New Orleans Saints have an abundance of issues right now.

Injuries. Penalties. Quarterback play. That trio dooms a season rather quickly.

Performances from Saints' QBs have been inconsistent all season long. Jameis Winston got injured in Week 2. He has not seen the field since.

The staff and Winston both say that he is healthy, but they've stuck with Andy Dalton as their starter. That experiment should be over now.

Dalton has not played well at all over the past month of play.

Alas, after today's loss to the Steelers, head coach Dennis Allen still didn't say much bout the QB or a change at the position for the Saints.

The offense may not improve with Winston or Taysom Hill at full-time QB going forward. It doesn't matter.

Your offense has looked below average in four of the last five games. That is unacceptable.

Their sole clean performance was against the Raiders, and they look like one of the worst teams in the NFL.

Allen's defense of Dalton over the past few weeks has been because the offense was playing relatively well. That is no longer the case for the Saints.

Every first down feels like a mountain climbed for New Orleans. They have very little downfield upside in the passing game.

Defenses are zeroing in on Alvin Kamara and the running game. Andy Dalton and his receivers have not taken advantage.

Dalton has six interceptions in the last four games. His stats are somewhat inflated because of late-game garbage time yards and touchdowns, too.

He just isn't getting it done, and the Saints have ignored that for a few weeks now.

If they continue to do that, it may cost coaches their jobs at a certain point.

Chris Olave has been the lone bright spot for the Saints, but he cannot even get consistent targets in the passing game with Dalton.

If they make the change to Winston and it does not work, Allen has an excuse for not making the change sooner.

For now, minds can only wonder what this offense would look like with a different QB than Dalton as the starter.

The Saints must make a change.
