The New Orleans Saints take on the Chicago Bears on CBS in Week 9. The Saints look to continue their strong play after a win versus the Indianapolis Colts. The Bears are trying to bounce back after a rough loss to the Los Angeles Chargers.
For the broadcast, the Saints will know one of the announcers quite well. Former Atlanta Falcons QB Matt Ryan will be on the call for the game against the Bears.
Andrew Catalon, Tiki Barber, and A.J. Ross will join Ryan in the booth.
Ryan spent most of his career in Atlanta. His rivalry with Cameron Jordan is quite well-known. On many occasions, Jordan has mentioned that Ryan was his favorite quarterback to sack in the NFL.
They shared a competitive, but friendly, rivalry that motivated both to become the players that they turned out to be. Both of them are very highly-respected by their respective NFL cities.
Jordan sacked Ryan 23 times over 11 seasons when the QB was with the Atlanta Falcons. That is a record for the most times a quarterback has been sacked by one player in a career.
It was no secret at all that the two fueled the rivalry between Atlanta and New Orleans. Now, Ryan will get a chance to broadcast a Saints game while retired.
