Sean Payton has plucked another former New Orleans Saints player.

This time, the recently-released Tre'Quan Smith is headed to Denver to join the Broncos. The former Saints WR signed to their practice squad on Tuesday afternoon.

Smith spent the first five seasons of his career in New Orleans. He was a depth wideout for the offense, totaling 1,764 receiving yards and 18 touchdowns.

For Denver, he will provide another veteran for the depth chart. Multiple of their wideouts have dealt with a plethora of injuries in the past, so the reunion makes plenty of sense. Smith knows Payton's offense well, and the coach always liked his effort and run-blocking ability.

We will see if he can get on the field for the Broncos after losing the opportunity in New Orleans.
