The New Orleans Saints just received some pretty bad news earlier this week, when they found out that their superstar wide receiver would be put on the injury reserve list again, and possibly miss the rest of the season as he has toe surgery.
A little over three years ago, the Saints gave Michael Thomas a monster contract. Since then, he has yet to play a full season, and in fact, will have missed 40 games in three seasons by the time this season is over.
Because of the injuries they have had, the rookie receiver, Chris Olave, has been carrying the workload for that position group.
But, there is some good news in the midst of the bad. That is that the Saints could soon have one of their other weapons return back in Jarvis Landry.
"Yeah, we will keep looking at him tomorrow [Sunday], see where he is at, but I think he is improving," Dennis Allen said.
his is nothing but great news. The offense can't continue to be piled on top of the rookie when going through the air. They need more options, and Landry is a veteran that still has a lot of juice left, no pun intended.
