Jimmy Graham's time with the New Orleans was an interesting one. It's a timeline that you could probably write a report on during high school if you wanted to, actually. Graham was one of the top tight ends in the NFL when it came to receiving output during his time in New Orleans. He was a major target for Drew Brees and blossomed into a scoring machine.

Towards the end of his stint with the Saints, the two sides couldn't agree to an extension. Graham felt that he should be paid a premium as he worked as a tight end with wide receiver traits. He was the best of both worlds. The Saints weren't interested in ponying up that type of money for an older TE.

In the end, they dealt him to Seattle in a deal that sent Max Unger to the Saints. Unger was a cornerstone offensive lineman for New Orleans during this time with the team, so the deal did work out well for them in a way. As for Graham, he made multiple stops in the years that followed.

Recently, on Twitter, Graham gave props to a former Saints fan favorite. The former Saints TE gave a shoutout to Marques Colston, arguably the best wideout to ever dawn a Saints uniform. Graham said that Colston was the leader that he needed during his time in New Orleans.

Colston never made a Pro Bowl for the Saints, but he certainly deserved to during his career. He was the definition of consistent. Graham knows that, and he made that clear on social media. Saints fans will appreciate that.
