Last weekend was a wild one for the New Orleans Saints. They got a preseason victory against the Los Angeles Chargers, but they also received a scare regarding veteran tight end Jimmy Graham. Graham was arrested on two misdemeanor charges. The Saints released a statement shortly after the news broke regarding Graham, stating that he disorientated due to a 'medical episode.'

On the night of the incident, he was transported to a local hospital. Of course, it was a very scary situation for Graham, but he seems to be doing much better now. He did not play on Sunday against the Chargers.

Graham returned to Saints practice on Wednesday.

Graham projects to be a depth TE for the Saints this year, as long as he stays healthy. Head coach Dennis Allen has mentioned that Graham will have a very specific role for the offense, but he has impressed the staff so far. His blocking technique has been a clear improvement from the past.

Not to mention, he is a vocal leader for the team as well. The Saints have needed another player like that, and Graham can provide that experienced leadership.

Getting Graham back to practice so quickly is awesome news for New Orleans.
