All signs point to the next New Orleans Saints head coach being Kellen Moore. The current Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator and play-caller recently talked to the media ahead of Super Bowl LIX against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Moore answered a vital question for his potential tenure as the HC for the Saints.

Moore would call plays on offense

According to the coach himself, he will assume offensive play-calling duties if he does get the job in New Orleans. That's been his coaching calling card so far as an assistant in the NFL.

The young offensive mind has been the OC for three different teams in recent years. Moore began his coordinator days with the Dallas Cowboys.

Then, he spent a season with the Los Angeles Chargers. Now, he is leading the dynamic offensive attack in Philly.

Moore was also asked about current Saints quarterback Derek Carr. The two actually faced off during their college days. Moore's Boise State team defeated Carr's Fresno State squad, 57-7. Moore threw for 254 yards and three touchdowns in that matchup.

“I’ve known Derek for a long time, tons of respect for him as a quarterback in this league. He’s had a tremendous career and done a lot of really good things.”

— Moore on Carr

It is unknown whether or not Carr will remain on the roster for next season, if Moore lands the job for the Saints. He may choose to go in a new direction at the QB position in New Orleans to give himself a fresh start.
