The New Orleans Saints are about to get a double dose of NFC East action. In Week 14, they'll face the New York Giants, arguably the worst team in football right now. In the following week, they'll see the Washington Commanders.
Looking ahead, a familiar face will return to New Orleans in Week 15 against Washington.
Lattimore's return
Cornerback Marshon Lattimore is set to make his Commanders debut against the Saints in New Orleans. Since being traded right before the trade deadline, Lattimore has not suited up due to his hamstring injury.
"When they get back from their bye, after this week, it sounds like Marshon Lattimore is going to make his Commanders debut in the first game back for Washington." — Adam Schefter
Injuries have heavily affected the top-flight cornerback for the past three years. He's missed the six weeks since the deadline, and he also missed time earlier in the season with the Saints.
A lot has happened since Lattimore was dealt away. Dennis Allen was fired. The Saints broke a seven game losing skid. Washington's defense has seen more inconsistency compared to earlier in the season.
We will see how his addition affects Washington's secondary and entire defensive unit.
Lattimore was always beloved during his time with the Saints, so expect a nice response from the Superdome in his return.
