Lattimore in the NFC Championship
I've discussed the choice to move on from Lattimore multiple times. It made sense for the Saints. It was great value, landing a third-round pick and some day three draft compensation.
Injuries have become a concern in recent years for the veteran corner, and New Orleans chose to get younger when they could at CB.
Lattimore played in just seventeen games combined between the 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 season. Before 2022, the CB was had played in at least thirteen games in every season of his NFL career.
That being said, Lattimore has the opportunity to rub some salt in the wound for New Orleans, who had him for over half a decade. Many of those years were impressive campaigns.
If Washington wins next weekend, Lattimore will get to play in a Super Bowl in New Orleans. The Saints decided to move on from him, but he could get a laugh to complete this season where it all started for him in the NFL.
Zack Baun's rise
Baun has been one of the best stories in football this season. He's been one of the best linebackers in the league and consistently makes timely plays for the Eagles defense.
While he was in New Orleans, he never was used quite the way he is in Philly. Instead, the Saints continuously moved him around and often had him rushing the passer off the edge, instead of in an off-ball LB role.
Now, with a different scheme and usage, he is flourishing with an NFC foe. With an Eagles win over the Commanders, he would do what Lattimore would not and play for the Lombardi in The Big Easy.
Latest playoff results allow the Saints to take their next step to try to hire Aaron Glenn as new HC
The search continues in The Big Easy. The New Orleans Saints need a new head coach. It's a process that may not wrap up in the coming week, but the chances that it does just increased potentially. Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn seems to be one of the leading candidates for the job in […]
