New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara has impressed during this offseason. After a rigorous workout and evaluation period, he looks a lot like his self – compared to last season. Kamara's elusiveness and burst is among some of the best in the NFL, and his impact will be major this season for the Saints. A healthy season from him can take the team to another level.

He will miss the team's first three games due to suspension, but former All-Pro RB Maurice Jones-Drew believes that a big season is coming from the Saints running back.

MJD ranked Kamara as his 7th overall RB in the league for this season in his recent top ten rankings for the position.

2022 stats: 15 games | 223 att | 897 rush yds | 4.0 ypc | 2 rush TDs | 57 rec | 490 rec yds | 2 rec TDs | 4 fumbles lost

Kamara is suspended for the first three games of the season for violating the league's personal conduct policy, but he should seamlessly slide back into the Saints’ offense in Week 4. He’s going to benefit from having Derek Carr under center and has a real chance to continue his streak of six consecutive seasons with 1,300-plus scrimmage yards. — MJD via NFL Network

The talent above Kamara is top-tier as well, so it's no disrespect at all.

Christian McCaffrey, Derrick Henry, and Nick Chubb are his top three. The other three above the Saints RB are Austin Ekeler, Josh Jacobs, and Saquon Barkley. All six of those players have been ultra-productive in recent seasons.

For the Saints, Kamara's pass catching ability and movement in between the tackles can take this year's offense to the next level. MJD respects his game in a major way.
