The New Orleans Saints have refused to do one thing recently. This offseason proved it once again. They have no interest in a full 'rebuild' type of mantra when it comes to their roster and draft compensation.

Instead, they have faith in their team when healthy and believe that their division is a winnable one. The NFC South is not particularly strong, and the NFC, as a whole, is not as strong as usual. They have a roster that can contend for a conference title. If they don't, it is a massive disappointment.

One national media NFL analyst shares the sentiment that they can compete right now after adding Derek Carr and good depth to their roster. That would be NFL Network's Peter Schrager.

Schrager mentions the veteran talent on defense and the upside of the offense with a steady quarterback. The Saints just have a lot more stability than many other teams in the NFC, and he is a fan of that.
