New Orleans Saints just had the most bizarre moment during any NFL training camp

If there's an award for the most bizarre moment during training camp, the New Orleans Saints should win it for what went down this week.
Earlier in the week, the Saints surprisingly signed linebacker Kiko Alonso, who hasn't played in a game since 2019.
Alonso, who was with New Orleans during that 2019 season, tore his ACL during the 2019 playoffs. He's been unable to play since then.
The Saints needed some depth at linebacker, so signing Alonso made sense.
All the makings of a great comeback story, right?
Well, not so fast.
Alonso made it through exactly one practice with the Saints before deciding a return to the NFL wasn't for him.
According to WWL-TV's Brooke Chesney, Alonso has decided to call it quits after six seasons in the NFL.
I'm not sure I've ever seen that before. While I didn't truly expect Alonso to play a major role for the Saints in 2022, I at least thought he'd make it longer than one practice.
With Alonso deciding to retire, it means New Orleans needs to be on the lookout for another linebacker. They won't have a ton of options at this point during training camp, but they might be able to take advantage of some camp cuts later on during the preseason.
