The New Orleans Saints continue to bolster their depth on offense. After signing veteran tight end Foster Moreau earlier in the offseason, they are adding another one. The Saints are signing TE Jesse James to a free-agent deal. The details are not yet known.

James played in just two games last season for the Cleveland Browns. In 2021, James totaled 7 catches for 62 yards and one touchdown for the Chicago Bears. His most notable tenure was with the Pittsburgh Steelers early in his career.

With Pittsburgh, he recorded 120 receptions for 1189 yards and nine touchdowns in four seasons with the team.

James will slot in behind Juwan Johnson and Foster Moreau on the depth chart. He provides competition for young TE Lucas Krull for the Saints.
