The New Orleans Saints fell right back into the same hole they dug themselves out of. However, that doesn't mean the season is over.
They are still only a game back of the NFC South's top spot, which would be the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at 4-5, as the Saints sit at 3-6.
This week the Saints have the perfect opportunity to get that record better. But, it starts on offense.
In order to have a successful offensive day, they have to be consistently good. They can't have one good drive, then a bad drive. They must string together good drives.
They can't turn the ball over, either, which is something they have struggled with a lot.
But most importantly, they must target the mismatches, and they have to stick with them. They cannot go away from what works throughout the game.
One national media sports outlet is predicting one Saints player to have a huge game based on the matchup.
According to Pro Football Focus, the rookie wide receiver Chris Olave is set up to have a huge game in Week 10 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. They are projecting him to finish with a composite grade of 96.5 against the Steelers' secondary.
Usually, the Steelers have a very good secondary. However, this year they have struggled with injuries and have been lackluster, to say the least, so this prediction makes a ton of sense.
The Saints need to run the offense through Olave if this is the case. We have seen him be the focal point before, and it has worked. Olave is a guy who can create separation from anyone.
The Saints are a good team, that just keeps shooting themselves in the foot. Sunday is the perfect opportunity to get things back to how they are supposed to be.
