Hiring a new head coach is at the top of the list of things to do for the New Orleans Saints. Past that, they'll need to retool their roster, and the 2025 NFL Draft will be a major stepping stone for that task.

Mock drafts are everywhere this time of year. They'll only become more avaiable over the next few months, leading up to round one in late April.

In a recent mock draft from A to Z Sports, the Saints grabbed a big-bodied wide receiver in round one.

9. New Orleans Saints: Tetairoa McMillan, WR Arizona

Tetairoa McMillan logged around 40% of the receiving production for Arizona for his second year in a row. He posted 2.87 yards per route run, an elite mark. At 6'5", 210+ pounds he would offer a dominant X-receiver skill set for the Saints to pair with Chris Olave, which they need desperately. McMillan is the safest bet to hit among a less than perfect wide receiver class.

McMillan is the perfect type of receiver for New Orleans to add. The need is not at the top of their list, many of which would be in the trenches. That being said, McMillan was clearly the best player on the board still, and New Orleans must value that this year.

Every NFL offense that doesn't have a true X WR is looking for one. And in this year's draft, every team searching for it should have McMillan ranked high, if not at the top of their board. You can't teach a WR to have his elite measurables and incredible production go along with it, making him one of the top WRs in this year's draft class. His overall draft position probably comes down to the style of WR a team is targeting, but he should certainly hear his name called in the top half of the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft.

The idea of McMillan outside with Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed moving around the offense in New Orleans sounds intriguing. Whoever the next offensive play-caller is, that's a great group at wideout to get involved.

At the next level, McMillan profiles as a scheme-versatile receiver who can be moved around the formation to create mismatches. His contested catch ability and knack for making plays in crucial situations should make him a favorite target on third downs and in the red zone. While he may face an adjustment period against the physicality of NFL corners, his college production against top competition indicates he has the tools to overcome this challenge.

Of course, we are still yet to know who will be the head coach or offensive coordinator next season for the Saints. This mock draft gifts them arguably the best offensive weapon in the class, though.

McMillan is ranked as the sixth overall prospect in this year's class and the top WR, according to A to Z Sports.
