The New Orleans Saints are known for their aggressive nature during the NFL draft.

They aren't afraid to trade up, sometimes quite far in the first round. New Orleans rarely trades back, so they are always candidates to make a move during mock drafts.

In this case, it wasn't a mock draft, but it was a report from Adam Schefter that was intriguing for the Saints and the fans.

Schefter says that six teams have contacted the Arizona Cardinals about the their overall pick in this year's draft. More are sure to do so soon.

Could the Saints be one of those teams that are looking to make a huge jump in the first round? It wouldn't shock anybody.

The jump for New Orleans would seemingly be for edge rusher Will Anderson Jr. They have their quarterback for at least the next few seasons most likely in Derek Carr.

The move would be one that would cost quite a ton for the Saints. They would be jumping up 26 spots in the draft, making it unlikely, but not impossible – of course.

The issue for New Orleans is that seemingly every other team would be making a smaller jump up. Therefore, Arizona wouldn't have to fall all the way back to 29 like they would if the Saints did the deal.

In reality, the Saints shouldn't make this type of jump simply because of the price. It would cost multiple first-round picks, day two picks, and potentially an impact player.

Right now, it is just speculation, but the Saints did meet with Anderson during this off-season, and the need is there on their defense.

Just something to monitor going forward.
