The New Orleans Saints are one candidate to appear as the team for HBO's 'Hard Knocks' series. It is a documentary-type of show that follows around one NFL team every season. The Saints are one of four teams that could be chosen for the series. The Chicago Bears, New York Jets, and Washington Commanders are the other three.

NewOrleans.Football’s Nick Underhill asked Saints head coach Dennis Allen about the possibility of the team getting the nod for the show this year.

“I wouldn’t like it. I just want to focus on our football team and getting better, and any distractions are exactly that, distractions that ultimately keep you from reaching your goal.” — Allen

The decision on a team should come within the next month. The series likes to be involved in training camp and the preseason. It's clear that the Saints want to avoid the distraction of it this year, though.
