Unpredictable, riveting, and unique. That's the NFL Draft. For the New Orleans Saints, they need a productive rookie class from this year's draft to kick off the Kellen Moore era.

I did my best to predict their selections in a final mock draft scenario, including one important trade to land a new quarterback. Check it out below.

Final New Orleans Saints 7-round mock draft

Round 1, Pick 9: Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State

Offensive line or defensive line is definitely in play here as well. I just cannot shake what Kellen Moore said a few weeks back about the position-less sort of thought process when adding talent to an NFL roster.

Warren fits that mold as a do-it-all sort of TE talent. At Penn State, he caught the ball, ran the ball, and even threw the ball. He also works hard in the blocking game, a necessity for Moore's projection for his sort of prospect profile.

Ultimately, I think the Saints grab Warren if he is still on the board here.

Round 1, Pick 32 (via Eagles): Jaxson Dart, QB, Ole Miss

Trade time. I cannot see the Saints leaving this draft without taking a QB in the first three rounds.

In fact,  I tend to think they'll try their best to land Dart at this point. The New York Giants are probably their toughest competition for him, outside of the Pittsburgh Steelers with their first-round pick. Pittsburgh is the favorite to draft Shedeur Sanders now, though.

"They like Jaxson Dart over Shedeur. They actually like Jaxson Dart a lot…

It's not Shedeur to New Orleans, period. It's not at nine, and it's not at forty."

— Todd McShay

Ultimately, Mickey Loomis does what he almost always does and trades up early in the draft to pick his potential replacement for Derek Carr.

  • Trade details:
    • PHI receives: Pick 40, Pick 112, Pick 184, 2026 5th-round pick
    • NO receives: Pick 32, Pick 168

Round 3, Pick 71: Nohl Williams, CB, California

Cornerback is an under-the-radar need for the Saints. They added some veteran depth in free agency, but none of them are projectable starters at CB. With that, Williams is ascheme fit for Brandon Staley's defense and possesses size to play outside.

Round 3, Pick 93: Miles Frazier, IOL, LSU

A reunion with an LSU product here for the Saints. Frazier is a nice, day two projection on the interior offensive line. Signing Dillon Radunz was a step in the right direction toward fortifying the left guard spot, but Frazier can crank up that competition as a rookie.

Round 4, Pick 131: David Walker, EDGE, Central Arkansas

Walker was ultra-productive in his collegiate career. Of course, the competition will be a massive transition, but his upside is fun for round four. We all know that New Orleans loves to take swings on potential when it comes to defensive lineman.

Walker is another example of that.

Round 5, Pick 168: Jarquez Hunter, RB, Auburn

Elusive. Hard-working. Tough. That's a good description for Hunter. He runs hard and makes folks miss. For a backup RB option to Alvin Kamara, I really like this fit on day three. I expect the Saints to take a running back sometime on day three – and potentially earlier. Hunter is a name I often like to give them.

Round 7, Pick 248: Ahmed Hassanein, DL, Boise State

Hassanein has been a player to get a little bit of late buzz due to visits with different teams. His inside/outside versatility may be enticing for New Orleans. If he's still on the board, remember his name for the Saints.

Round 7, Pick 254: Kaden Prather, WR, Maryland

Big-bodied wideout finishes the class for the Saints.

Prather didn't have the final college season he probably hoped for, but New Orleans needs to take a swing on a bigger WR sometime. He fits that bill and has really impressive athleticism for his size. Interesting day three option for the NFL.

Let's see if the Saints' draft turns out similar to this mock! Would you be happy with this rookie class for Kellen Moore? Let us know on social media.
