The New Orleans Saints are being disrespected. Well, one of their All-Pro players is. I get it, they missed the playoffs and it was a bad year, but anyone can look at this guy and tell he deserves better than what one national media outlet is doing to him.

After the season finishes, then often times media outlets or personalities come out with a list. They do end-of-the-season power rankings, way too early power rankings, and then they list the best players.

Sometimes listing those players come from player number 100, or the 100th best player in the league, and goes to the first best player in the league. And I get it, on a top 100 list, it's hard to get every one right. Some people will be mad.

But at the same time, I think most would agree that Demario Davis is one of the best linebackers in the league, which is why he was an All-Pro second team this season.

I think most would also agree, he is a top-50 player in this league at least. I mean, heck, with some of the players above him, he may very well be a top 40 or 35 player in the league.

Either way, Pro Football Focus came out with their top 101 players, and they had him at 52.

Here is what they wrote about Davis:

"Since arriving in New Orleans, Davis has been one of the best linebackers in football, and this year was no exception. He recorded four pass breakups in coverage and racked up 43 defensive stops while earning impressive grades in every area except tackling, where 17 misses was a rare below-average return for him."

It's clear that there aren't too many linebackers who are better than Davis in coverage. In fact, I'd say just a few. Then it's also clear that there aren't many as good at tackling as he is. Davis is one of the best at what he does, let's stop with the disrespect.

If you ask me, he should easily be around the 35 mark. But hey, maybe he will use this as fuel for next season.
