Mock drafts, mock drafts, and more mock drafts. That's what NFL fans will be seeing plenty of this week before the draft begins on Thursday. For the New Orleans Saints and their fans, there's been no lack of different selections for the team in mock drafts over the past couple of months.

Defensive line, offensive line, secondary, or even wide receiver/tight end could be on the board in the first for New Orleans. The Saints are tough to project right now. They can go in a lot of different directions, but a recent mock draft did them a major favor.

In Chad Reuter's latest mock on NFL.com, the Saints selected Clemson edge rusher Myles Murphy with the 29th overall pick.

Murphy could very well be the Greg Rousseau of this draft class, possessing good overall athleticism but lacking the dominant play and pure twitch many teams want at the position. The Saints have picked similar defensive ends in the past, though, and Murphy would replace Marcus Davenport. — Reuter

Murphy is arguably a top 15 prospect in this year's class. His blend of power and athleticism is elite among his peers at edge rusher, and he was the best player on Clemson's defense this past season. Getting him at pick 29 would be a major win for New Orleans.

Many analysts believe that Murphy will go inside the top 20, so the Saints would have to move up in that scenario. For Reuter, he fell to the 29th pick, so New Orleans scooped him up. It would be a dream scenario for the Saints defense.
