The New Orleans Saints have locked in one of their top veterans long-term.

Special teams ace J.T. Gray signed a three-year extension with the Saints on Friday.

Gray has played 109 defensive snaps as a safety for the Saints but his 1,377 plays on special teams have been his bread and butter.

He went undrafted in 2018 out of Mississippi State. However, in 2019 Gray was rewarded for his special team's work with a second-team All-Pro nod.

Two seasons later, Gray made the Pro Bowl and was named a first-team All-Pro for his efforts.

Gray is proof that any player can have a productive career if he puts his mind to it.
