The New Orleans Saints addressed defensive line in the first round. They took Clemson IDL Bryan Bresee. In the second round, they just doubled down on that major need on their defense.

The Saints are selecting EDGE rusher Isaiah Foskey from Notre Dame with the 40th overall selection.

Foskey totaled 23 sacks for Notre Dame since 2021. That was second in the country – only behind Alabama's Will Anderson Jr. Anderson went third overall to the Houston Texans in this year's draft. Foskey recorded 121 total tackles during his career with the Irish.

The Saints needed more help on their defensive line, and Foskey fills that void off the edge.
