We talk about it all the time, in that this Saints draft is very important, mainly because their class last year only had a few guys pan out, and some are still a work in progress.

This draft can be great for the Saints, even though, as it currently stands they don't have a first-round pick. They do have a semi-early second-round pick, among the rest of them. So, it will still be fairly easy to find some great talent.

This time we are focusing on the 70th pick in the draft, one that will still be fairly easy to find great talent. The elite teams in the league, teams like Kansas City and Philadelphia, they found great guys at the backend of the draft too.

The Saints could do the same with the amount of talent in this draft.

One guy I think New Orleans should keep an eye on is Garrett Williams, the cornerback from Syracuse. Williams is the 60th-ranked prospect by Pro Football Focus and is the eighth-ranked cornerback in the draft.

There is one thing that stands out about Williams when you watch his tape, in my opinion. he has the ability to have long-range on the point of attack. What does that mean?

Well, he has very long arms and uses his length to stretch out and make ridiculous plays whether it be an interception or a pass breakup. His ball skills are immaculate, and he has the speed to stay with guys on the outside, but not necessarily in the slot.

Williams is a sound tackler and seems to not miss too many, especially in space when the runner has room to work. Williams gave up just 256 yards on 21 targets too.

But, if there is one thing he needs to work on, it's learning to stay disciplined. He gambled a lot on plays, which sometimes ended up hurting him and the team. In the NFL, you can't do that.

The 6'0" cornerback would be a great fit in the black and gold, and if he is available at pick 70, they should take a flyer on the guy.
