The New Orleans Saints got some good news for the 2024 NFL Draft on Tuesday. OverTheCap announced their compensatory pick projections, and New Orleans is among the league leaders.

Only the Philadelphia Eagles are getting more compensatory picks before the sixth round than the Saints, according to their projections.

As of now, all three of their comp picks are projected in the fifth round. One of them could shift into the end of the fourth round, too.

New Orleans is receiving these selections because of David Onyemata, Kaden Elliss, and Marcus Davenport. Those three veterans left during the 2023 free agency period.

Check out the full list of projected picks for the Saints as of right now below.

  • Round 1, Pick 14
  • Round 2, Pick 45 (via Denver Broncos)
  • Round 5, Pick 148
  • Round 5, Pick 167 (compensatory)
  • Round 5, Pick 168 (compensatory)
  • Round 5, Pick 172 (compensatory)
  • Round 6, Pick 191
  • Round 6, Pick 200 (via Philadelphia Eagles)
  • Round 7, Pick 229 (via Denver Broncos)

That extra draft capital will be ultra-important, considering the Saints' limited cap space to make moves in free agency. They could also add draft capital via trades leading up to the draft, too.

These comp picks, along with the entire official draft order, will most likely be announced around the week before free agency starts in March.
