The New Orleans Saints are getting back into the groove. They're busy signing their rookie class from the 2025 NFL Draft, and many of those players are starting on-field action with the Saints as well.

WR Donovan Peoples-Jones attending Saints rookie camp
The veteran wide receiver is the most well-known player trying out for New Orleans during rookie camp. He is a bigger-body option than many of the players currently on the Saints' depth chart at wide receiver.
Peoples-Jones has not seen much game action over the past couple of years. His most impressive season came in 2022 with the Cleveland Browns. During that campaign, he caught 61 passes for 839 receiving yards and three touchdowns. He also has special teams experience in the pros as well.
Over his five-year NFL career so far, the wideout has totaled 1,895 yards and eight touchdowns.
Kellen Moore has always valued different body types in his passing game.
The Saints did not make many additions at pass catcher so far this season, but Brandin Cooks did make a return to the team. He's more of a speedster, straight line receiver, though, and he's not over six feet tall. Along with Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed, New Orleans does not have much size at wideout.
They may try to change that before the season begins, and acting sooner than later is probably their smartest route in order to find notable production.
Peoples-Jones would not be a splashy addition to the offense, but if he impresses, New Orleans may want to give him another shot at a roster spot in the NFL.
