Saints, Loomis

The New Orleans Saints are always tough to get a pulse on entering the NFL Draft.

That being said, we all know that general manager Mickey Loomis and co. love to be aggressive early in the draft. In the first round, they consistently trade up to secure their top-rated talent. New Orleans has specific guidelines they stick by when it comes to scouting, and no one is making them audible.

Will this year be another example of that by the Saints front office? It certainly sounds like that's on the table, according to Loomis.

It sounds like the Saints are looking to do what they are known for once again. A move up could be for an edge rusher (Myles Murphy, Nolan Smith, Lukas Van Ness, etc.). It doesn't seem likely that one of those players slips all the way to 29.

A jump by New Orleans could be to grab their top-ranked tight end or wide receiver, too. They have plenty of routes to go. We'll know which road they choose to take within the next 24 hours. It sounds like they'll surely make it interesting for Saints fans.
