The NFL is cracking down on something happening way too often in the league now. They cracked down on the New Orleans Saints.

Faking injuries to have a defensive advantage is something we see a ton in college football. Now, we are starting to see it more and more in the NFL.

It was getting so bad, that the NFL sent out a memo to all 32 teams, warning them that if they did fake injuries, those players would be fined.

It appears they were very, very serious, as they fined the Saints as a whole, more than half of a million dollars.

According to Pro Football Talk, "Per a source with knowledge of the situation, Cam Jordan was fined $50,000. His position coach, Ryan Nielsen, also was fined $50,000. Coach Dennis Allen was fined $100,000. And the Saints were fined $350,000."

I personally like this rule, because a ton of people have done it this season. Who knows, if this rule wasn't implemented, a team could easily do it to the Saints and possibly have an advantage in a game that could cost New Orleans a loss.

Do I like that Jordan got fined? No. But, I do like the rule as a whole, and I think it will prompt teams to stop.
