The New Orleans Saints did make a move on trade deadline day. Although, their division got a bit easier for the foreseeable future.

The Atlanta Falcons traded star wide receiver Calvin Ridley to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

It may be the most shocking move of the deadline.

No one really expected Ridley to be traded. There weren't many rumors floating around before the move occurred.

Ridley always performed very well against the Saints. There were many times that he outperformed star wide receiver Julio Jones against New Orleans.

Ridley is suspended for at least the rest of this season. Many believe that he will return next year, though.

Even in first place, the Falcons made a bit of a "selling" move.

They know that they are probably outperforming their talent right now, so they struck to gain some draft capital. It makes sense.

For the Saints, it certainly makes matchups with the Falcons more palatable. Replacing a talent like Ridley will not be easy for Atlanta.
