The New Orleans Saints made some notable decisions regarding their roster on both sides of the football in Week 13. They'll face the Los Angeles Rams in a massively important matchup for potential playoff runs.

Roster moves

The Saints signed interior offensive lineman Kyle Hergel to the active roster from the practice squad. That's a move that points to their confidence regarding Erik McCoy's status.

The star center suffered another injury during the team's Week 11 win. He has missed a lot of time this season, and the offensive line looks and performs notably different without him.

Shane Lemieux may step in and start at center if McCoy cannot go against Los Angeles. Hergel provides depth at both guard and center.

The Saints waived safety Millard Bradford and elevated wide receivers Kevin Austin Jr. and Dante Pettis to the active roster for Sunday. Pettis will probably return to his duties as punt returner and an option on kick returns.

New Orleans also ruled out pass rusher Tanoh Kpassagnon for Sunday against Rams. He returned to practice for the first time this season during this past week.
