The New Orleans Saints have some swagger back. After their 34-0 smackdown of the New England Patriots in Week 5, they are confident that they are getting this season back on track.
Saints head coach Dennis Allen delivered an impressive post-game speech to his team that will get fans excited about the future.
Of course, it won't mean much if the Saints don't build on it. That being said, it was intriguing to see Allen in such high spirits. The veteran coach normally stays pretty leveled out, but his team's performance on Sunday apparently got his juices flowing.
Allen presented star running back Alvin Kamara with the game ball. Kamara was a force on offense once again and broke the franchise's record for career touchdowns (73). Major game for him.
The Saints HC needs to continue to put together performances like this one across the board. The Saints dominated on offense, defense, and special teams.
It came against one of the worst teams in the AFC in the Patriots, but it is still a solid win. You have to show up weekly in the NFL. Allen and New Orleans did that in Week 5.
