The New Orleans Saints need a bounce-back season from their defensive line this year. Last season, it became a weakness when that hadn't been the case in a few years. In order for them to find success, they must improve the run defense and get more pressure on the passer in 2023. Cameron Jordan was the sole bright spot for much of last season on the DL.

Carl Granderson had some growth as well, but Jordan is a different animal for New Orleans. He always has been. The veteran needs a not the productive season in 2023.

There were potential concerns on Wednesday because Jordan was not seen at practice during minicamp. Jordan and Saints HC Dennis Allen quickly extinguished those worries of fans. Allen called his absence "old-age" related rather than injury related.

Great news for New Orleans – of course. Jordan is a major piece of their defense, and they need him to be healthy to start this season. Allen's comments were one of the best parts of the Saints offseason so far.
