New Orleans native returning to his hometown? It is possible. The New Orleans Saints have interest in signing a veteran defensive back.

The Saints tried out Roderic Teamer last week during rookie camp, according to Nick Underhill.

Teamer would be a depth piece in the secondary. Most of Teamer's value would probably come on – wait for it – special teams.

Teamer is 26 years old. He attended Tulane but was not drafted in 2019. Since then, he has spent time with the Chargers, Colts, and Raiders. Last year, he played in six games, totaling five tackles.

The veteran defender has spent time at linebacker, safety, and cornerback during his NFL career. It will be interesting to see if the Saints target the New Orleans native as they search for depth around their roster.
