The New Orleans Saints now have a nice duo at running back with Alvin Kamara and recent addition Jamaal Williams.

Williams spent his last two seasons with the Detroit Lions after four years with the Green Bay Packers, and he racked up 1,066 yards and an NFL-leading 17 rushing touchdowns in 2022.

Williams officially signed his contract on Friday and he gave insight as to what he's bringing to the Saints.

"I think I bring a lot of emotion, I think I bring a lot of, just 100% love and grit, and just being a warrior, and just being myself," Williams said. "I don't do anything I feel like that's out of what teams do or try to be, like, apart from the team. I want to be a part of the team no matter what I can do.

"So, blocking, running it, shoot, get back to kick return, punt return, whatever they need me to do I'm with it. But, I'm just here, to just, give everything I got, give everything, all my talents. Keep learning how to get better because you can never stop improving."

That's exactly what any team could want in a player.

After a breakout season, Williams could easily want to be the main back no matter where he ended up. Instead, he's sharing a backfield with a five-time Pro Bowler and is willing to contribute in any capacity.

Another addition to the Saints offense, quarterback Derek Carr, has already gotten in contact with Williams which he mentioned in his introductory press conference.

"I'm ready to go, I know he is, too," said Williams." He already texted me. I know when my quarterback text me, oh yeah, he means business, and it's about to go. So, I'm just grateful, I'm grateful to be on this great team, man. I can't wait to go. Where my helmet at?"

Saints fans have to be pumped after hearing that.
