Jameis Winston gives emotional explanation for why he is returning to the Saints
Winston loves the Saints.
The New Orleans Saints have had an interesting relationship with quarterback Jameis Winston. He joined the team for Drew Brees' final season where he was his backup all season long. Over the last couple of seasons, he was projected to be the potential starter. It never worked out in the long-term due to injuries, though.
Winston has never given up on the Saints, and he just signed a one-year deal to be the backup for Derek Carr this season as well. Winston just posted an emotional message for the Saints and the city of New Orleans.
Fans have always loved Winston's leadership and emotion while in New Orleans.
Unfortunately, bad breaks have kept him off of the field pretty often. That hasn't changed Winston's mindset when it comes to the organization.
He is thankful that they've taken a chance on him since he moved on from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The veteran QB also mentions that he believes that this Saints team can contend for a Super Bowl.
It is clear how committed Winston is to New Orleans, and people will appreciate that.
