The New Orleans Saints are looking into some defensive line help during their bye week.

According to multiple sources, the Saints hosted former All-Pro and two-time Super Bowl champion Jason Pierre-Paul on a visit.

New Orleans needs the pass rush help. He could provide another veteran presence with upside.

The Saints have totaled just 18 sacks this season. That's the fifth-lowest total as a team in the NFL through ten weeks of play. The four teams with less are among the most defenses in the league (Broncos, Panthers, Giants, Bears).

Pierre-Paul was a first-round pick in 2010. He won a Super Bowl with the Giants in 2012 and the Buccaneers in 2021. At 6'5 and 275 pounds, he fits the Saints' mold for stature at defensive end.

JPP has made three Pro Bowls and received one All-Pro selection during his career. He totaled three sacks and five tackles for loss in 14 games with the Baltimore Ravens as a rotational piece last season.

Keep an eye on a potential deal between the Saints and the veteran pas rusher.
