Alvin Kamara had one of his most productive games of the 2024 seasons in Week 10. The offense had some intriguing moments, without some top wide receiver targets and center Erik McCoy.

Kamara's elusiveness and big play ability were on display, and he became the franchise's leading rusher, surpassing Mark Ingram. He totaled 109 total yards on offense, but his blunder during crunch time is what caught plenty of headlines during the game.

Kamara's drop against ATL

The star running back dropped what would have been a touchdown late in the fourth quarter. The score would have most likely sealed the deal for the Saints against one of their biggest rivals.

You never see this sort of play from Kamara. He is one of the most sure-handed and technically sound running backs of this generation. After the game, he was understandably frustrated by the mistake and took full blame.

“Before anyone even says anything, I just embarrassed everyone by dropping the ball. I’m sorry." — Kamara

The running back also added that it was the "lamest thing" he's ever done. The mistake from Kamara made many fans uneasy, as they thought New Orleans was about to squander yet another lead to lose their eighth game in a row.

Instead, New Orleans righted the ship and got a stop against Atlanta's offense in the closing moments to preserve a 20-17 victory.

It will be a moment that Kamara may laugh at in the future, but he was certainly embarrassed by the surprising drop. Don't expect to see many more of those from him this season.
