The New Orleans Saints accomplished plenty of feats in their Week 10 win over the Atlanta Falcons. One of their best players in team history, star running back Alvin Kamara, led the way.
His strong performance made New Orleans look smart after they gave him a brand new role last week. Don't forget that he received a contract extension earlier in the season as well.
Captain Kamara
New Orleans named Kamara a team captain last week, prior to the game against Atlanta. Why was he not already one? Who knows.
Regardless, it was a decision by interim head coach Darren Rizzi, and the team fully supported the choice. Kamara plans to return a Saint and has given blood, sweat, and tears to New Orleans since being draft in 2017.

Kamara breaks Ingram's record
In the victory, Kamara became the Saints franchise's all-time leader in rushing yards. He entered the game 12 yards shy of Mark Ingram's 6,500 rushing yards.
The Saints running back entered the Week 10 matchup game as the team's' all-time leader in touchdowns (85), rushing touchdowns (60), yards from scrimmage (11,075), and all-purpose yards (11,739).
Ingram shared some positive thoughts and appreciation for Kamara's accomplishment. They were best friends when Ingram played with him earlier in Kamara's career.
"Alvin is my brother. What he has been able to accomplish throughout his career says a lot about him, his work ethic, his ability to process the game from many different positions, his durability – all those things it takes to be able to accomplish a record like this. I'm just super proud of him. He gets to do it in front of the home crowd against the Dirty Birds, so I think he set it up just nice."
In Week 10, the Saints got Darren Rizzi his first win as a head coach, and Alvin Kamara added yet another notch to his belt in the history of the team.
