The New Orleans Saints took another step when it came to fixing their salary cap woes last week when they restructured the deal of safety Tyrann Mathieu.

They put some of those dollars to use by inking defensive end Tanoh Kpassagnon to a two-year contract extension on Monday.

Kpassagnon was a second-round pick of the Kansas City Chiefs in 2017. He played in 61 games with 24 starts and amassed 75 tackles and seven sacks and was a part of their 2019 Super Bowl team.

In 2021, Kpassagnon signed a two-year deal with the Saints. Kpassagnon has racked up 46 tackles and six sacks in 23 games with 10 starts.

This isn't a flashy move, but the Saints just got a depth piece for a defense that was one of the NFL's best in 2022.
